As professional archaeologists we are all committed to communicating the results of our archaeological fieldwork and specialist analysis to as wide an audience as possible.
The recovery of evidence of past human activities by archaeological excavation is just the beginning: it requires analysis, investigation, research and publication. It is part of our professional responsibility to share our results so that as many different communities as possible can access our information and better understand the past.
In order to manage the increasing demand from funders, clients, the archaeological community in general, and other interested parties, for a faster return and ease of access to recent and occasionally past work, the online archaeological journal, Archaeology Reports Online, was established in 2013.
We hope you find this new venture innovatory, interesting and informative. If you wish to submit your own reports for publication, please contact us.
