Archaeological investigations on Goosecroft Road, Stirling uncovered the remains of stone walls, a burial, midden deposits and possible boundaries that related to the location of the Dominican Friary. The results were complemented by historical research and analysis of the pottery assemblage, which suggest medieval occupation from the twelfth to the sixteenth centuries. Sampling of deep organic deposits indicate that the environmental history of the area goes back to the Neolithic.
