The results of archaeological interventions on an eroding midden in woods to the west of Stirling Castle, and from repair work to the Back Walk footpath on the western edge of the medieval burgh, Stirling, recovered over 2000 artefacts of medieval and post-medieval dated. They included pottery, a musket ball, and surprisingly a WWI Austrian army belt buckle highlighting the lives of ordinary people in the burgh and castle.
