ARO17: The demise of Tigh Caol, an eighteenth century drovers’ inn

The archaeological excavation of an eighteenth/nineteenth century Drovers' Inn at Tigh Caol in Argyll established the layout and organisation of the building as well as revealing artefactual evidence for the function of the building as an inn. The investigation also confirmed the existence of a nearby trackway that originated as early as the thirteenth century.
